Channelling Part 2
The next all important steps in learning to channel is strengthening and heightening our telepathic skills and empathy. The more we are connected to others in a telepathic way and the more we are empathic, sensitive and loving towards others, the higher our vibrations will rise – which in turn helps us to clearly hear spiritual guidance.
People whose telepathic and empathic skills are heightened find it easier to understand others around them. They find they relate better with their loved ones, people and even their pets. These people have a better understanding on how others feel deep with in – which helps them to help others at a deeper level.
When you learn to become more sensitive to the world around you and to others, you will find that you will feel more a peace with in. You will begin to appreciate others more, appreciate the planet and you will find that you feel renewed and whole within.
Your relationships will improve and you will be able to radiate love to the planet, you will also raise your vibration higher which will help you to easily and readily connect with your spirit guides.
Below are several meditations and exercises that will help to heighten your telepathic and empathic skills.
Heightening Your Empathic Skills
Try to be more compassionate and loving towards others. Try spending more time with your loved ones. Ask them how they are feeling, how their day was, and if they are happy. Try your best to listen to what they have to say. See if you can feel their feelings. Be kinder to others and genuinely care for how others are feeling. Don’t get me wrong I am sure you already do this – what I mean is try to talk less about yourself and spend more time concentrating on how others are feeling and what their needs are.
If you meet or walk past someone in the street then say hello or smile. You will be surprised at what a difference that could make not only to your self but to others too. Ask the shop assistant how they are and how their day is, then listen intensively to what they have to say. Take special note of their reactions, face expressions, eyes, speech, what they are warring and how they seem. In a nut shell try to become more of a peoples person who takes note of how everyone around you is and feels.
Try reading more true life articles and stories – ones which are emotional and leave you feeling happy and inspired. True life miracles and stories about angels are particularly good ones to read. I find that Jacky Newcomb and Theresa Cheung books are very inspiring and truly help to awaken your empathic skills.
Watch more films that are emotional – in a good way such as true life, animal rescue, touched by an angel, angel programs, documentaries, miracle stories and films that are positive and inspiring.
Stop watching the news or films / soaps that are riddled with depressive content. Even just by cutting these out for a week you will notice a huge difference in yourself and how you feel. The news and soaps are so filled with war, bad news, depression, anger, and violence and issues that leave you feeling drained, down hearted and miserable inside. When this happens it lowers your vibration making it harder for you to connect with your guides. You do not have to cut it out all the time – just try to not watch as much.
Laughter is a wonderful and beautiful thing! Try laughing more by watching more comedies, maybe go and see a comedian or tell more jokes. Do things that make you happy and laugh. Laughing helps us to release stress and helps to raise our vibrations.
Positive thinking is another key in helping us to be more empathic to others. The more positive we are the more kindness and love we feel towards others. When we feel angry, depressed, down, ill or sad then we can only concentrate on our selves and on how we are feeling.
We neglect the needs and feelings of others as we are so wrapped up in our own sadness. Try thinking more positively about yourself and others. Every time a negative thought pops in your mind, push it away. Every time you think badly about yourself or others then tell your self off or push those thoughts aside. Remember no matter how another person is, we are all God’s children and we are all equal.
Spend more time in nature and in the out doors. When we go for long walks in nature or just spend time in nature, it automatically raises our vibration and de-stresses us. When you are out and about in nature call on the nature and animal angels and fairies (fairies are natures angels).
Say this short prayer; “I call upon all of the nature and animal angels and fairies. I ask that you will please surround me with your heavenly light and love. Thank you.” You will soon begin to notice a huge difference with in yourself. You will feel more sensitive to the world around you.
When you spend more time in nature take the time to take in all of your surroundings, smell the flowers, and feel the trees and grass, listen to the birds and others sounds that you can hear, take special note of the clouds, sky and all that is around you. How does the air feel? What is the weather like? What sounds can you hear? What can you taste or smell. Become one with nature.
Try drawing more pictures of nature, angels and animals. Also do more creative things. When we are being creative it helps to raise our vibrations and helps us to connect more with our guides. Listen to inspiring music that lifts your soul and spirits. Listen to music that is beautiful, inspirational, soft, and gentle and that makes you feel so at peace with in.
Open your heart Chakra as this will help you to raise your vibration and feel more sensitive and empathic. Try this short exercise to help you open your heart Chakra. Call upon the Archangel Raphael and ask out loud or in your mind, “Archangel Raphael, I call upon you now. Please surround my heart Chakra with your beautiful emerald green healing light. Please help to heal, unblock and open up my heart Chakra. Thank you.”
Now imagine that your heart Chakra is a small beautiful emerald green gem stone. Imagine that you are watching as the Archangel Raphael sends gorgeous emerald green healing light to your heart Chakra. Watch as this small stone begins to glow a beautiful green. Watch as it begins to grow larger and larger, also shine brighter and brighter. Once the stone has grown to the size of a cricket ball and is shinning brightly, then thank the Archangel Raphael once more for his help.
Spend more time with animals. Hug your pets, stroke them and hold them close to you for a long time. Spend as much time as you can with animals and your pets. Animals have a natural way of calming us and relieving stress.
Try putting yourself into other people’s shoes. How would you feel if you were in the same boat as them, if you had the same issues or lives as them? For examplr, imagine that you saw on the news that a person went missing. The missing person’s family were making a speech on the telly asking if anyone had seen their loved one. Put yourself in the family’s shoes and ask your self how you would feel in that situation. Try to empathise with that person and feel their pain and grief. Try to understand how that person must be feeling.
If someone has just gotten married then try to put your self in their shoes and feel the feelings that, that person must be feeling. Feel their joy, their love for one another. Be empathic towards that person and respect their feelings. How would you feel if you were in that very same situation? Try putting yourself in others shoes with each person you meet.
Each morning when you wake up and before you begin your day, ask your higher self to please help you to be your higher self at all times. Ask your higher self to raise your vibration to its highest rate. Open up and develop your third eye Chakra. Try this short exercise to help you open your third eye Chakra.
Call upon the Archangel Raphael as before and ask out loud or in your mind, “Archangel Raphael, I call upon you now. Please surround my third eye Chakra with your beautiful emerald green healing light. Please help to heal, unblock and open up my third eye Chakra. Thank you.” You can repeat this exercise with all of your Chakras if you like.
Now imagine that your third eye Chakra is a small beautiful dark blue / deep indigo gem stone. Imagine that you are watching as the Archangel Raphael sends healing light to your third eye Chakra. Watch as this small stone begins to glow a beautiful indigo. Watch as it begins to grow larger and larger, also shine brighter and brighter. Once the stone has grown to the size of a cricket ball and is shinning brightly, then thank the Archangel Raphael once more for his help.
You can also try saying this short prayer, “The Archangels, My Angels, My Spirit Guides and my Angels of Clairvoyance, I call upon you now. Please surround my third eye with healing and clearing energy. Please help me to clearly and accurately hear and interoperate the messages that my spiritual and angelic helpers pass onto me. Please help me to clearly and accurately hear, see, feel, touch, taste, smell, and sense accurate and detailed messages, that will bring blessings to others and my self through out the day and through out my life. Thank you.”
Heightening Your Telepathic Skills
All of the empathic exercises above are not only helping you with your empathic skills or raising your vibration, but are also helping you with heightening your telepathic skills. So you have already done most of the heightening your telepathic skills work. Below are a few more ways in which you can heighten your telepathic skills.
Ask a family member or friend to please try out this exercise with you. Find some where quiet and where you will not be disturbed. Now both your friend and you sit down opposite each other. Both close your eyes and take in 3 deep breaths.
Become completely relaxed and clear headed. Push out any thoughts that pop into your mind. Now take it in terns for one of you to think of something while the other has to try and telepathically sense what the other is thinking. You could think of any thing such as a type of animal, food, and certain person you both know, a beverage, a place or country.
Both close your eyes and while one is thinking of a particular object or place, the other has to try and sense what it is. Once the person guessing has guessed then the other person can let them know if they were right or not. You then swap over and keep practicing this. Try doing this exercise as much as you can. Try writing down how you did each time. At first you may find that it is not going too well but with patience and practice you will get better and better at it.
Believe with all of your heart that you are telepathic. The truth is that each and every one of us is telepathic, just some more so than others. Have faith and belief in your self and in your telepathic ability. Truly believe that you can develop it and grow spiritually.
Ask a family member or friend to look at a picture in a magazine or book or even a photograph. Make sure that you do not know what the picture is. Now sit in front of them and close your eyes. Try to see if you can sense or see what your friend is looking at. What picture are she / he looking at? Do not give up if you do not get it straight away. With practice and patience you will get there.
When the phone rings or the door bell goes try to think of who is calling or visiting before you answer. See how many times you can get it right.
Take a plain deck of playing cards and try to guess what each card is before you turn it over. Write down how many times you get it right.
Try and guess what colour car will come around the corner or drive past you, or who you will see when you walk into a shop. Guessing games are great ways to help you develop your telepathic skills. Try playing more memory and guessing games.
Try thinking of a friend or family member and in your mind ask them to ring or contact you. Keep saying in your mind (while truly believing that this person can hear you) …………….. please contact me now or as soon as you can. You will be surprised how this person will get in touch with you.
I tried this once with one of my best friends named Sarah. I found somewhere quiet to sit and where I would not be disturbed. I then brought all of my awareness to my friend Sarah. I tried to mentally see her in my mind and then I kept saying, “Sarah please contact me now or as soon as you can.” Each time I said it I truly believed that she would hear me. I even said, “Sarah can you hear me? Please contact me as soon as you can.”
About an hour later I had a phone call from Sarah. She said that she kept thinking of me that afternoon and wanted to ring but was at work. She said that she did not know why but she kept feeling as though she needed to talk to me. I laughed and told her about the little exercise I had done. It had worked and I had telepathically linked with Sarah.
Another time I was living away from home and was going through quite a rough time in my life and previous marriage. I was only 19 at the time and desperately wanted my mother to come and get me away from a terrible place and situation that I was in.. I did not have access to a phone so could not ring her. My mother lived a good 45 – 50 minute drive from where I was staying.
I sat slumped on the floor sobbing my heart out. Praying to God and the Angels to help my mother hear my cries and for her to come and get me. I pleaded with my mother in my mind. Pleaded for her to come and get me away from this dreadful place that I was in.
About 35 minutes later my mother’s car pulled up to the building where I was. She rushed over to me and said that she had this desperate urge to come and see me. She said that she kept having this horrid feeling that something was very wrong. I explained to my mother how miserable I was and about the situation that I was in at the time. I asked her to take me away from that place and the people I was around, which she did.
She kept telling me all the way home that she knew something was wrong. She said that she drove so fast to get to me that she could not even remember how she got there – she could not remember the journey she took to get to me. I was amazed at how fast it did take her to get to me. I had telepathically let my mum know that I needed to leave the place that I was in. This is why she had the urge to come and see me and why she knew something was wrong.
Some people find that they have a high telepathic link with animals. They can easily and readily understand their pets and their pet’s needs. I am fortunate enough to have this strong telepathic link with animals. I can always tell if our pets are ill or unhappy before they show any symptoms or if they are hot, cold, and hungry or need some love. We can all learn to develop this special telepathic link with our pets and other animals. Animals are highly psychic and telepathic. Animals are well aware of all that is going on around them and can clearly and accurately pick up on energy and vibration.
When I was about 14 or 15 years old I was climbing off of a roof. I grew up on a farm so I was always climbing trees, boulders and roofs. Unfortunately while climbing down the roof I got a terrible leg cramp – well to be honest I more like tore the cartilage in my knee. You see for years I have always suffered from leg problems. I was half way down from the roof and in great agony. My brother and sister were out that day, my mom was at work and no one was around to help me except our pets.
Despite for help I called Skippy our little Jackrussel. I pleaded with Skippy to run and call my mother. She worked as a Bookkeeper and Accountant on the farm. Her office was a good 10 – 15 minute walk from our house. I remember using all of my mind power to try and telepathically ask skipping to run and get my mom as I was in trouble. Skippy looked up at me and then turned round and ran down the road to get my mother. About 8 – 10 minutes later my mom and Skippy rushed over to the house and helped me down from the room. Skippy telepathically heard my message and went to get my mother just as I had asked him. Thank you Skippy.
Another time where one of my pets helped me was when my brother, sister and I were talking a long walk in one of the fields on the farm. We had many dogs and they used to always join us on our long walks. As we walked though one of the fields chatting away one of our dogs named Rambo began to bark loudly.
We stopped talking and I asked, “What is wrong Rambo, why are you barking so much.” We tried to continue walking forward but Rambo would not let us continue with our journey. He kept running forward and then running back again to a certain spot where he stopped and then kept barking. I instantly knew that he was trying to tell us something important. I shared my feelings with my brother and sister and told them how I can just feel that something was wrong and that we should not walk any further.
Just then we saw a large cobra rear its head and spit at Rambo. Suddenly it all becomes clear as to why Rambo did not want us to venture any future with our walk. I screamed for Rambo to come back to us which he did. We thanked him for his help and decided to walk a different way instead. Thank you to Rambo who tellepathicly as well as physically warned us about the snake, we were all saved from being bitten and killed. Thank you Rambo.
Try spending as much time as you can with animals. Take special note of how they seem to be with in them selves. Look in their eyes and see if any images, feelings, sounds, tastes, smells or words pop into your mind. Mentally or out loud ask your pet or the animal, “How are you feeling to day? Are you having a good day?”
Trust what ever comes to you. Try to communicate with your pet or other animals telepathically. With patience and practice you will begin to build a special bond and connection with these animals. You will begin to know how your pet and other animals are feeling and what messages they have for you. Ask your pets or other animal’s angels to please help you to telepathically link and connect with your pets.
The most important thing for us to learn to do when growing spiritually, developing our psychic abilities and learning to channel as well as connect with our angels and guides, is to raise our vibrations. The more we raise our vibrations to a higher lever the easier it is for us to connect to our guides and angels. How we raise our vibrations is by being our higher selves at all times and by connecting to our spirit.
Each and every lesson in Psychic Friends has been teaching you to do just that. Just by doing each lesson as well as this lesson you have already raised your vibration. The more empathic, sensitive, loving and caring we are the more our vibration rises. The more we are our higher selves and the more we grow spiritually and develop our psychic gifts the higher our vibrations will become.
Below is a wonderful meditation that will not only help to raise your vibration even higher, but also help you to find out what your life purpose is…
Raising Your Vibration Exercise
Find somewhere quite and where you will not be disturbed. You can either lie down or sit. Put on some soft music and light a candle and incense or two if you like. Make sure that you are feeling completely relaxed. Now close your eyes and take in 3 deep breaths into your chest slowly. Now call upon the Archangel Michael and your Guardian Angels.
“Archangel Michael and my guardian angels I call upon you now. Please surround me with your Heavenly Devine love and light. Please help me to raise my vibration to its highest rate.”
Imagine that you can see the Archangel Michael and your guardian angels standing next to you. See them in as much detail as you can. Now notice that your guardian angels are holding their hands out to you. Take hold of their hands and feel yourself rising to your feet so that you are in a standing position (in the meditation). Watch as the Archangel Michael puts a wonderful bubble of pure white light all around you.
See this beautiful white light fill with in this bubble that is all around you. Feel the light as it begins to fill with in you. See your feet, legs, thighs; stomach, back, chest, arms, neck and head fill with white light so that your entire body is glowing with beautiful Heavenly light. Feel how at peace you are and how much love you feel deep with in you.
Now still holding your guardian angels hands watch as you begin to rise off the floor and go higher and higher into the air – you are still in this bubble of white light with your angels by your side.
Notice that the higher you go the brighter the bubble around you shines. See your self going into space and then through many different dimensions. Watch as you go higher and higher.
Notice that in front of you is a bright light. See yourself and your guardian angels getting closer and closer to this gorgeous white light, until you reach the white light. Once you reach this white light notice that there are many doors all in a row. Each door is glowing with beautiful white light and is open. There is a space in between two of the doors.
Watch as your guardian angels walk over to the empty space and begin to draw a door. Once they have drawn the door they send white light to the door. The door opens and behind it you can see many angels and spirit guides who look so very happy to see you. Your guardian angels return to your side and take hold of your hands once more. They walk with you towards the glowing door.
As you walk through this door you are filled with so much love and light that, you feel at one with the universe and with your angels and guides. Feel how much love and peace is all around you. All these wonderful angels and guides that surround you now all surround let you know how happy they are that you are there.
Watch as you see yourself rising higher and higher. Spread out your arms and send love to the world and everyone you know. Now ask your guardian angels to help you to know what your life purpose is. Ask them out loud or in your mind.
“My wonderful guardian angels, please can you tell me what my life purpose is.” Trust what ever comes to you. Once you feel sure that you know what your life purpose is then say to your guardian angels, “Thank you for your help my beautiful guardian angels. Thank you for helping me to know what my life purpose is. Could you please tell me who I truly am?”
Once again trust what ever comes to you. Again thank your angels for their time, love and answers. Thank all of the angels and guides that are around you for their time and say that it is now time that you head back. With your guardian angels by your side go back the way you came so that you are back on the couch or were you started the meditation.
Thank the Archangel Michael and your guardian angels for helping you to raise your vibration, find out who you truly are and for helping you to find out your life purpose. Then slowly and gently stir and bring yourself out of the meditation.
Next we will look at how to find a posture or trance state position that you feel most comfortable being in. It is important that we all find a trance position that we feel completely comfortable in, as this is the position we will use when performing readings and when building a stronger connection to our guides.
Try practicing finding a position where you feel you can sit and still be completely comfortable. Find a posture or sitting position that you can sit in for a long time with out feeling too uncomfortable.
Find a posture or sitting position where you feel you could easily go into a dream like trance state. Once you find that position then remember it as this will be the position that is right for you and the one, that is best to use when meditating and performing readings.
Below is a simple exercise you can try to help you find the right posture and position for you.
Posture and Trance Sitting Position Exercise.
Put on some soft music and make sure that you will not be disturbed. Sit down in a chair with your back straight. Imagine that you are walking along a beautiful sandy beach. Feel the sand beneath your feel and take special note of how the waves crash on the shore. Take note of your surroundings and how you feel. See how many sounds, tastes, smells and feelings come to you. What are these smells, tastes, feelings and sounds that come to you?
Now draw all of your awareness back to yourself and your sitting position. Take note of how you are sitting. If you feel uncomfortable then adjust your sitting posture to one that feels more comfortable. Now imagine that you are back on the beach and in the distance you see a few people on the beach. What do they look like and what are they warring. Are they families or couples, are they friends walking on the beach or both?
What are they doing and what emotions are they expressing. Now continue to walk along this sandy beach. Think about your spiritual path and how far you have come. What would you like to accomplish on your spiritual path? What would you like to do in the future to make you spiritually happy? Ask your guides and angels to help you move forward on your spiritual path and to help you fulfil your life purpose. Trust what ever comes to you.
Now draw your attention back to your sitting position. Are you comfortable in the sitting position that you are in? If not then adjust your sitting position so that you feel more comfortable. Then return to the sandy beach and go back to your thoughts about your life and spiritual path. Keep repeating this exercise until you feel totally comfortable in the position you are sitting in.
If you feel comfortable with your sitting position then stop this exercise as you have found the sitting position that is best for you. Remember this sitting position as it is the one you should use when performing readings and connecting with your guides and angels. It is the best position for you to use when going into trance.
