How To Make A Higher Self Calendar

To make a Higher Self Calendar you will need 12 large sheets of strong card, 52 small envelopes, 52 small coloured paper squares or square memo pads, felt tip pens, glue or double sided tape, some paper, paints, glitter, special pens, fabric, peel offs and boarders, ribbon and other odds and ends to decorate your calendar. On Each sheet of card write down at the top of each card; My Higher Self Calendar and write down a different month and the year. For example on the first card write down My Higher Self Calendar January 2011. On the second write, My Higher Self Calendar February 2011 and so on.

Then stick the appropriate amount of envelopes onto each calendar for each month. Each envelope will represent a week in that particular month. Decorate your calendar in a way that is special and personal to you. Colour or paint each envelope a different bright colour and then write down on each envelope week 1 ………….. (dates for that week) and so on for each envelope.

On each small square memo pads write down: “This week I am going to ...................” and then write down a positive and good deed that you could do for that each day of that week - deeds or positive things that your higher self would do. Once you have written out each one then stick them into the envelopes and stick the envelopes to your calendar. You could even decorate each memo square.

The reason this is you higher self calendar is because each day you are going to try and be your higher self and do the things that your higher self would do. For example you could write down;

* This week I am going to smile at each person I walk past and meet though out each day as I know a smile can go a long way.

* This week I will help a friend or someone in need. I will try to make a difference to someone’s life.

* This week I will pick up all litter that I find laying around and I will make sure that I do not litter

* This week I will spend at least 30 minutes in nature each day being one with myself and my thoughts, so that I can clearly hear angelic and spiritual guidance.

* This week I will be more understanding of others feelings and situations. I will take the time to listen to what others have to say and be empathic

* This week I will thank all those who have helped me, been there for me and my friends and family for just being as wonderful as they are

* This week I will not swear, talk, act or think negatively. All my thoughts, words and feelings will be positive

* This week I will not judge others or run any person down. I will treat others as I would like to be treated myself

* This week I will do something for charity and give to those in need

*This week I will take special note of all the nature and animals around me. I will take the time to notice what a beautiful planet I live on.

You can repeat good deeds on other weeks or you could make a different positive higher self deed for each week, it is completely up to you. Each week take out the square memo for that particular week and stick it on to the out side of the envelope so you can look at it each day. Try to look at it each day to re-mind yourself of what positive Higher self deed you need to do that week, then do your best to do your positive deed each day of that week.

You could also say each day when you open your envelope this short prayer: “I ask my Higher Self to please run my life and help me to be my Higher Self at all times. Thank you.” You could also say this affirmation each day at least 3-4 times each day, “I am my higher self at all times! I am my higher self at all times!”

When you learn to be your higher self at all times you will feel like a brand new person inside. You will appreciate your life, your surroundings and others more and will find that you feel good and happy inside as well as positive. Your out look on the world will change to a positive and bright one. You do not have to use my method of making your calendar you could make your calendar any way that you like. There are so many different ways of making a calendar. I have found pictures of other ways of making a calendar to give you ideas. Have fun!

How To Make Angelic Gift Greeting Cards

To make angelic gift greeting cards you will need some blank cards. You could either buy the ones that are all ready in a greeting card form and that are blank - you can find these from any craft shop. Or if you prefer then you could use an A5 size card and fold it into a card shape. You will also need an envelope to fit your card as well as a tiny envelope to put your gift in.

Next you will need materials to decorate your card. You could use peel offs, boarders, motifs, materials and fabrics, paints, glue, double sided tape, pictures, stickers, 3D sticky pads, 3D cut outs, foil, wrapping paper, backing paper, clay or dough, coloured beads, felt tip pens, paper and fake flowers, gem stones and crystals, cotton wool, glitter, heat gun, embossing powder, glitter, special pens, ribbon, buttons and any other odds and ends that you find laying around.

Now think of what you would like to create and then put your idea down onto your card. Make each card special and inspirational. Let your imagination run wild. Since we are making angelic cards try finding pictures of angels or fairies. You could print off pictures or find them in books or on wrapping paper, you could even trace a picture and then transfer it to your card and paint it.

You could use transfers which you can find in a craft shop. In side your card right in the middle on the right side you could stick the tiny envelope. In the envelope you could add a small gift or special poem or prayer, badges, stickers, money, keep sakes, necklace, flower seeds, bracelet, ring, handmade gift, sweets or even a prayer card. Once you have made your special hand make card then you can give it to someone special as a gift.

This simple card is great to showcase your own collages and artworks. Accurate measuring and cutting is essential because you want the card to be able to stand up on its own. Use stiff paper, card stock, in whites, beiges and vanilla tones. Depending on the time of year you can make birthday cards, Christmas cards and any other holiday cards. Use colors and found objects accordingly. For example use green, red, and gold for Christmas cards.

Materials:

Sheet of handmade paper, card stock, or stiff paper
Scrap piece of card for window template
Bits and pieces of handmade papers, fibers, ribbons, fabrics, trims and interesting found objects
Matching paper for envelope
Craft knife
Pencil
Ruler
Self-healing mat
Bone folder
PVA adhesive and brush
Double-sided tape (optional)

Basic Methods:

If you feel a bit uneasy you can always practice these steps first on an inexpensive sheet of paper. Then keep your first card as a template.

1. You will need one sheet of 8 1/4 x 11 ½ inch paper. On the back mark the paper into thirds across the width. Score with a bone folder and fold both end panels inwards.

2. Open the card and lay it on a self-healing mat and cut a window in the center panel using your window template this way you can be more certain of the position of your window, before you start cutting. Your window template should be approximately 2 x3 inches. You can change the size of the window for different cards if you prefer. Rescore the fold lines.

3. Create a collage on the inside of the first flap. Have fun and be creative. Use your little scraps of paper, ribbon, and other embellishments. Study the composition by closing the flap; check how your collage looks through the window before gluing the pieces in place.

4. Glue the two front panels together with watered down glue or double sided tape.

5. To make the envelope, use another sheet of matching or contrasting paper. Lay the card diagonally across it and fold up the sides. Glue down two sides and bottom fold to create the envelope.

Were you ever wondering how to actually make paper flowers?

Making or creating paper flowers has been a marvellous hobby of people of all ages from many generations before us, and hopefully many generations to come. There is an element of warmth you get after making a paper flower.

In this fast pace world we live in, taking the little bit of time to actually sit down and make a paper flower is both a stress reliever and a mind defogger. You can leave all your cares and worries from your place of employment behind and do something that is both relaxing and possibly useful for your next party.

There are only a handful of items that are needed for this project and they can all be found at the local hobby, or arts store. The first main supply is the crepe paper. It comes in single and double, depending on the number of flowers you are making. Scissors: 1 light weight pair to cut and shape the leaves or petals and a heavy pair for multiple layers of the crepe paper. Paste: the regular type with a hard brush. Tissue paper: This is used for creating all of the leaves. Also, you need a pencil, some florist tape, pins, wire, metal paper clips, and an artificial stamen.

Once you have all the items listed above, you can now begin to make your own personalized paper flower.

1. Start with 12-16 pieces of different sized, colored crepe paper. Stack all the papers in a neat pile and now use a pencil to draw the pattern, of your choice of a flower on the top sheet of paper in the pile.

2. Using the metal paper clip, fasten all the pieces of crepe paper together. Now, use the heavy scissors to cut out the pattern you made.

3. Arrange all the sheets of paper from largest to smallest in a pile making the largest on the bottom and the smallest on the top. With the pin, poke a hole in the middle of the petals of your flower.

4. Put all the petals together, starting at the bottom, to make a flower. Then put the wire into the whole in the centre. You don't want the wire to slip out of the whole so twist one end. Now, where you stuck the wire use the florist tape to tape the petals here.

5. Now, choose your own design and make a leaf pattern. Use the green tissue paper and cut out the pattern with the light scissors.

6. Next, stick the leaves to the stem of the flower with the florist tape.

7. It's an optional feature, but you could add the artificial stamen to the middle of the flower.

*You can repeat this process and create as many different flowers as you desire.

Making paper flowers is a very inexpensive, and fairly easy hobby to do if you follow my instructions. Once you have mastered the main technique of paper flower making, you will want to make more detailed and larger creations and the possibilities will then be endless. Happy folding...

To make the positive affirmations you will need coloured pens, some coloured card, a scissors, and a punch and some string. Take the piece of card and cut out 2-4cm wide strips. Make each strip be at least 6-8cm long - so that you are left with what looks like tags / gift tags. On each of your tags write down a positive affirmation for your self such as;

* I am a beautiful child of God and I am very loved.

* I am successful in everything I do

* God is with me each day helping me on my life pass

* I am a positive and happy person

* I am protected each and every day

* I deserve to be happy and have no worries or concerns

* I always do my best to look after my body and be healthy and in good shape

* I am a loyal and kind friend

* I know that I will pass the test with flying colours

* I treat others as I would like to be treated

* My Clairsentience is extremely heightened always

* My Claircogniance is extremely heightened always

* My Clairsentience is extremely heightened always

* My Clairaudience is extremely heightened always

* I always try my very best to be a good and honest person

* When I believe in myself so do others

* I always do my very best to help others where I can

Make each affirmation be personal to you. In one corner of each tag punch a whole with the punch. Then take some string and thread it through each hole in the tag. Tie the string to each stem of each flower you have made - so that each flower has a positive affirmation tag attached to it. You could put these flowers into a vase or even into the vase that you have made. Each day look at your positive affirmation flowers and read your affirmations. Remember to always stay positive and believe in yourself and in everything that you do. I could not find any pictures of positive affirmation flowers as mentioned above so have added pictures of paper flowers to give you an idea of how to make your own ones.

How To Make A Goal Ladder

To make a goal ladder all you will need is a large piece of card, scissors, glue or double sided tape, felt tip pens, colourful pens, drawing pins, sticky stuff / blue tac, stickers, pictures, glitter, and any other odds and ends that you would like to use to create your goal ladder.

Once you have all the bits and bobs that you need then on your cardboard draw a large ladder with out the steps (steps of the ladder that you step on). You can then decorate your ladder and the background in any way that you like. Now using a different piece of card, draw the steps of your ladder and decorate them. Once you have done this then cut out each step for your ladder.

On each step of the ladder write down one of your goals that you hope to achieve in the future. Try writing each goal down in the order that you hope to achieve them. Hang the picture of your step-less ladder on your wall and stick the steps of your ladder next to your ladder.

The reason you are adding the steps next to the ladder and not away in a draw, is because each time you look at the steps you will be encouraged and reminded of your goals. Each time you achieve a goal you can then add the step which has that particular goal written on it to your ladder. Keep doing this until you have achieved each goal that you set for your self and your ladder has each of it's steps. You could add a large bright star at the top of your ladder to show that you have accomplished all of your goals. You could even (when you first start your ladder) set your self a special treat that you will have once you have all of your goals completed. I could not find any pictures of goal ladders so I have stuck other pictures of different ladders here.

A wonderful way in which we can build a stronger connection with our guides and angels is to write to them. This is also a good way to express ourselves as well as communicate with your angels and guides.

Why not make a special letter box where you can put all the letters that you write to your guides, angels and God. You can write them a letter about anything that you wish. You could write about your worries and concerns, you could send them grateful and thankful letters, a general letter, a sorry and asking for forgiveness letter.

You could even write to them sharing your fears, hopes, dreams and ambitions. You could write them special poems or quotes. Writing to our spiritual and heavenly helpers is a beautiful and magical thing.

To make your own special letter box all you will need is a good sized box - this could be a shoe box, old tea or biscuit box / tin or any other type of box that you have laying around. You will also need a writing pad and a special pen to keep in your box and to write your letters on. You could even have some envelopes to put your letters in.

You will need items to decorate your letter box such as, some glue or double sided tape, felt tip pens, paint, special pens, fabrics, buttons, 3d pads, glitter pens, lace, glitter, peel offs, boarders, motifs, pictures, ribbon and any other odds and ends that you would like to use to decorate your box.

Once you have everything that you need then you can decorate your box in any way that you like. Make your letter box look special and personal to you. In side your letter box you could add some crepe paper or cotton wool, special fabric or glitter, gemstones and crystals, angelic figurines or confetti. Also add your writing pad and special pen and envelopes.

Then when ever you feel like writing to your angels, God or your spirit guides you can do so and leave your letters in your special box.

The holiday season seems to bring out the creativity in just about everyone. Whether you are a creative whiz or just dabbling in your craft, there are so many different avenues. I love making homemade gifts for the holidays or any occasion. They always seem to make gift giving more special. My children also enjoy making special things for our family. Homemade gifts let people know that they are worth your time and how much they mean to you, not to mention the fun you will have making them. Homemade gifts find a special place in peoples hearts and often become family treasures and heirlooms. You don't need to be an extremely crafty person or even be a seem stress, there are many no sew ideas out there.

The project I am going to explain is great for adults or children. This craft is called the "Kitchen Angel". This angel gets it's name due to the fact that it is made of kitchen towels. There aren't many supplies needed for this project and you can really have fun with it. You can make these festive to go with the holiday or you can match them to your gifties decor.

All you need to get started is:
1 dish towel
1 dish cloth
1 potholder
1 14 inch narrow ribbon (any color to coordinate)
1 6 inches narrow ribbon (any color to coordinate)
1 gold or silver pipe cleaner

To assemble this cute angel, you start by folding the dish towel in half lengthwise then folding that in half (this will be the head and body of the angel). Wrap the 6 inch ribbon around the top of the towel leaving about 3 inches from the top of the dishtowel, creating the head of the angel.

Lay the potholder down with the loop facing up. Slide your 14 inch ribbon behind the pot holder coming threw the loop of the holder to the front. Tie the ribbon cinching the potholder. (this now becomes the angels wings).
Place your dishcloth on a flat surface and roll it, making a long tube shape. Place the rolled cloth lengthwise on top of the potholder and tie it (this becomes the arms of the angel).

Place the folded dishtowel on top of the attached dishcloth and potholder tying it with the remaining length of ribbon (making a bow around the waste of the angel).

Bend your pipe cleaner into a circle, twisting it around its self to properly secure it. Place the pipe cleaner or halo on top of the angels head. This cute kitchen angel can be hung by the loop of the potholder.

There you have it, a heart felt and inexpensive gift created by you or your children. The wonderful thing about this gift, is it could be hung in the kitchen as a holiday angel or year round. This can also be taken apart and be used.

Once you have everything that you need then cover your book with the wrapping paper if you are using it, decorate it and design your journal so that it is personal to you. You could make your journal be any theme that you like. You could make it an angel dream journal, fairy, animals, african, wild life, lady birds, the nights sky, flowers and nature, mystical, magical, bright, plain. Make your journal's theme be something that reaches out to you and inspires you.

In side your journal you can record all of your dreams (if a dream journal) or all of your psychic experiences, lessons and homework from lessons you have done (if psychic journal). You can use a special pen to record your dreams or psychic experiences. You can decorate each page in your journal if you like or add cut outs of pictures that describe your dreams or experiences; you could draw pictures, paint and stick stickers in your journal. Try keeping your journal next to your bed so you can record your dreams or experiencesg - in this way you will not forget them.

You can paint, decoupage, stamp and embellish as part of your flowers pot crafts. Come up with your own flower pot craft projects with these ideas.

Painting

After purchasing a flower pot, sand the pot down before painting. You should also seal the inside of the flower pot with an oil-based polyurethane to protect your painted design from water penetration. If you are painting pots for outdoor placement, use a paint specifically designed for outdoor use. DecoArt Patio Paint is water and weather-resistant and adapts well to changing temperatures. Outdoor paints also mean your pot will be easy to clean.

Try painting sections of the pot in different colors. Use painter's tape to mark off the top lip of the pot and paint a coordinating color. Or, create several bands around the flower pot with the painter's tape and create stripes on your flower pot.

Bright colors work well in gardens. To select a color scheme, look at design or craft resources on colors like Paper Crafter's Color Companion by C&T Publishing. Paint two to three coats of each color on your pot. If you want to add a design to your pot, paint the background a nice, muted color such as light yellow.

Use stencils to paint words or shapes onto your flower pot. You can also use this technique to label the contents of the flower pots decoratively, such as "Basil" or "Chives." Use a sponge to paint your flower pots. Paint all over in one or two colors, or create bursts of colors with a round sponge that look very much like flowers. You can also cut a normal kitchen sponge into a shape such a heart or star.

Decoupage

Cut out words and images from scrapbook papers, magazines and even junk mail to decoupage your pot. Create a theme by selecting similar words or images, for example Spring. Tissue paper is a great material to decoupage pots. You can use one color or a variety of coordinating colors for a fun, semi-transparent look. Crinkle the tissue paper in your hands and tear into pieces. Use a foam brush to apply decoupage glue (such as Mod Podge) to your pot. Smooth tissue paper pieces over pot in a random pattern. Cover with another coat of decoupage glue.

For fun, add a coat or accents of glitter or sparkle, such as with Tulip 3D Sparkle Paint. For outdoor placement, you will need to cover your decoupage work with a coat of UV-resistant acrylic coating, like those made by Krylon.

Embellishment

Yarn - Wrap yarn or twine tightly around the lip of your pot, gluing as you go. Yarn-wrapping creates an interesting textured look.

Buttons - Flat buttons are a fun way to decorate pots. Paint flowers on your pot and glue buttons as the centers the flowers. Add a line of buttons around the top of the pot. Randomly glue buttons all over the pot.

Personalized items are great gift ideas. They not only allow creativity but they also provide a sense of intimacy. Even for personal use, they can also stimulate positive thinking. They give a special feeling to whoever sees them. Collage picture frames, for example, encourage a person's intervention to their design. It is usually up to that person how he or she decides to arrange the photos in a creative and artistic manner.

There are so many advantages to personalizing your photo frames. Not only will it enable you to come up with a design of your choice, you can also save by the simple recycling of old items to make something new. IN this way you can easily dispose of the unwanted materials, and use them up for something more rewarding. They can add beauty to your room and eventually enhance the atmosphere of being at home. Below are some suggestions on how you can add some spice to your photo frames.

1) Collect your new or old frames and scrap materials. These include but are not limited to double picture frames, paper cutouts, old magazines, used clothing, food wrappers, tissues and plastics. Select items that can still be utilized to produce something of great and artistic value. Make sure that they are clean and free from dirt. If you intend to use candy or chocolate wrappers, do not forget to wash them before using. You have to keep in mind that they are supposed to add beauty to your art and not to spoil it. Playing with these used materials to form new art will not only put them into good use, but can also actually lessen your garbage volume.

2) Conceptualize a design. From the materials that you have gathered, think of a concept that will put them together. This can be related to a general theme, or it could be an abstract design. Don't over think and over criticize the design. Your goal can be to simply express your own feelings or style. If you are planning to use your art as a gift, you may think of the person that you want to give it to. You may consider his or her dislikes or anything that will reflect his or her personality. As an example, you can incorporate a nature theme to multi-opening picture frames with cutouts of your favorite flowers. You may also form an image or a figure of any design that fits a particular color scheme. More specifically, you can also use some graphic art of your own or find a way to artistically incorporate your recipient's name.

3) Prepare the materials. You may need rulers, pencils, scissors and glue. The materials will largely depend on the concept that you have in mind. You may use coloring pens and other markers, or anything that you want to put into your creative art. Prepare all the cutouts and make sure that they are clean before you affix them to the frame. In addition to that, if you also intend to add decorations on the image photograph itself, do so without damaging the image. You may opt to simply place your design as a layer over part of the picture. As much as possible, avoid having anything glued directly on the image. It may be possible to attach your design materials to the inside edge of the frame so that they do not adhere to the photo, if you are using one. If you have to glue something on a collage picture frame, you also have to see to it that you have the appropriate material. Do not use adhesives that will damage the frame, but rather use transparent glue that may suit them well.

There are so many ways in which you can personalize your photo frame. You may also add glittering effects to the outer border, as long as they are kept off the glass portion of the frame. You may also use colorful glue to draw figures or write names. Typically, they can be applied anywhere on the frame and most can be removed anytime without leaving any mark to the piece. For items that do not have mats on the inside portion, you may improvise by using colorful papers or ribbons to add more emphasis to your image. This looks good especially for a wall photo frame that you decorate specifically for an individual room or mood.
